The main aim of ARCHON is to provide educational activities for the RMA students, PhD students and staff members of its participating institutions. With this we want to bring together our junior and senior members, but also hope to create a platform for current research in Archaeology. Our members are encouraged to come up with ideas for workshops, seminars and conferences concerning their interests or subjects they wish to further explore. Membership of ARCHON will give you access to these educational activities, bring you into contact with fellow researchers and will give you the possiblity to present your research at one of the activities. In addition we will provide a regular newletter which contains reports on past activities, upcoming events, promotions and archaeological news.

RMA students can apply at the start of their master studies trough the university they are attending and PhD students can apply trough their supervisors or faculty.

Staff members of the participating institutions are encouraged to become a member. As mentioned it is important for ARCHON to unite our senior and junior members. We provide the opportunity to present current projects in collaboration with RMA and PhD students or individually and hope to get feedback on ideas for educational activities. For staff members the membership is free, small fees could apply for certain activities. For more information concerning this contact the secretariate.

Faculty members and graduate students registered at another research school or working in non-participating institutions can become affiliated members. If you have any questions or would like to apply for membership, please contact the secretariate for further details.
