In this symposium, leading European experts in the fields of archaeological remote sensing and geophysics will present their
research relating to the application of novel sensor technologies and methods for terrestrial and maritime research, comparative analyses and validation of non-invasive archaeological surveys, or the dissemination of best-practices and sensor-related knowledge. This meeting is open to academic researchers, students, professional archaeologists and sensor specialists.

ARCfieldLAB is a project centred around the themes of innovation, experimentation, and knowledge exchange in archaeological
remote sensing and geophysics. The aim of ARCfieldLAB is to disseminate information about the current state of knowledge on
innovative sensor technologies and methodologies utilized in archaeology, with the goal of improving the overall quality and
efficiency of Dutch archaeological field research.

After this event, students will have a grasp on the current state of research in the field of non-invasive sensor techniques for archaeological field research, as well as an understanding of the potential and limitations of various novel remote sensing and geophysical prospection techniques.
